Janáček Cultural Centre
Right next to our hotel, a new architectural masterpiece of European significance is taking shape – the Janáček Cultural Centre, a long-awaited and key cultural project for the city of Brno. This exceptional venue will not only become the prestigious home of the Brno Philharmonic, but also one of the most advanced concert halls in the world.
With a capacity of 1,200 seats and acoustics aspiring to absolute world-class standards, the centre will attract top performers and discerning audiences from around the globe. The perfect sound experience is being shaped by a team led by one of the world’s most renowned acousticians, Yasuhisa Toyota, whose name is associated with the most famous concert halls on the planet.
The Janáček Cultural Centre is not just a building; it is a future heart of the music world, where art will merge with cutting-edge technology. The grand opening is scheduled for 2027, heralding a new era in the cultural life of not only Brno, but the entire Central European region.

Festivals, Trade Fairs, and Events in Brno

JazzFest Brno – one of the most important jazz festivals in Central Europe. The festival brings top international and Czech jazz musicians to Brno, featuring everything from classic jazz to modern styles and genre fusions.

Brno Art Open – the city as an open-air gallery. Brno Art Open transforms public spaces into a unique showcase of contemporary art. Discover artistic installations and site-specific works that connect creativity with the city’s history, atmosphere and unique places.
6–9 August 2026
Every summer, Maraton hudby Brno transforms the city centre into one large music stage. The festival brings together Czech and international artists who perform at unique venues across Brno, creating an unforgettable atmosphere filled with music.
The programme also includes the traditional Late Night Music Show at our Siesta Bar. From 6–8 August, always from 9:30 PM to 1:00 AM, the venue will transform into a vibrant live music session.
We are proud that Hotel International Brno is once again the home base for many of the festival performers, offering them comfort and a place to relax between their shows. We are delighted to be part of this exceptional cultural event.
