From June 1997 to January 1998 he held the post of Minister for Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic. One of his books was written under the pseudonym Samuel Lewis. Hans Adam II. In December 2009, the Liechtenstein Ambassador to Vienna, Her Highness Maria-Pia Kothbauer, Princess of Liechtenstein, visited the Hotel. Otakar Motejl9. 5. 2010 Otakar Motejl, a judge of the Supreme Court and then Ombudsman departed – the ombudsman, a man who will be forever linked with the struggle for and keeping of freedom in the Czech Republic.

The Governor of South Moravian Region, Mr Michal Hasek, in front of our hotel welcomes one of thirty ambassadors, charges d'affaires in Prague and other members of the diplomatic corps, who during his two-day visit to the South Moravian Region stayed in our hotel. 16 to 17 October 2009 On 22. 10. 2009 the Cooperation Agreement was signed by the Governor of Lower Austria Erwin Pröll, the Governor of South Moravia, Michal Hasek, the South Bohemian Governor George Zimola and Vysočina Governor Jiří Běhounek at the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel International Brno.
