Miroslav Husak

The Chef of the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel International, Brno, Miroslav Husák, is the chairman of the Brno branch of the AKC Czech Republic and since 2000 also a member of the senior national team of Chefs and Confectioners of the Czech Republic.

He is a recipient of numerous awards (display), including the most prestigious one of first place in the 2002 world championship in Singapore and first place in the 2005 world championship in Scotland.

As a member of the Association of Chefs and Confectioners in 2010, in Singapore at the FHA Culinary Challenge he won a silver and a bronze medal, and in Germany in the Inter Gastro a gold medal.

In 2009 he won the Gold Medal M.D. Rettigová and was featured in the German magazine "Wo ist?".

He has cooked for a number of celebrities, the most of famous of whom were Her Majesty Elizabeth II. during her visit to Brno, Pope Benedict XVI, the former and current Presidents of the Czech Republic – Vaclav Havel and Vaclav Klaus – the Finnish President Marti Ahtisaari, Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewskiho, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and former U. S. Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright.

In Singapore, India and Russia he cooked Czech cuisine at the embassy for the ambassador’s visit.

 


Republic championship of chefs and confectioners

The internationally participated 15th annual national competition of culinary and confectionery art and the fifth year of the republic’s championship of cooks and confectioners was held on 22nd April 2010 in Hradec Kralove. This contest was attended by our colleague, confectioner Mrs Radmila Čermáková, where in this large international competition she qualified and reached the highest position. She won the Rudolf Pribyl cup and title MASTER OF THE REPUBLIC 2010.

Do you know who cooks for you?
He won second price in the Bonduelle cup – Moravian chef and 4th place in the competition Chef of the Year; he works for an unnamed catering company that prepares food for F1. He has travelled the world – Malaysia, China, Japan and elsewhere. He is a specialist in Italian pasta. Mr Rudolph Pospisil – OUR Rudolf Pospisil – is a member of the team of chefs of the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel International, Brno.
